Karachi, August 11, 2014 (PPI-OT): The new entity will overlook operations of 14 businesses of the TCS group. M.A. Mannan, a leading corporate professional, has been named as the President and CEO of TCS Holdings.
Khalid Awan, Chairman of TCS Holdings has outlined a future vision of TCS, which encompasses harnessing the enormous potential of the country and seizing the opportunity to become a prominent player in the economy of Pakistan.
He sees customers as being the focus of everything that TCS does and would like to add further value to their lives by spreading the reach and radius of the company’s operations even wider.
Talking about his new position at TCS, Mannan said he shared the vision of the Chairman and was thrilled about his leadership role, seeing it as another challenge in continuation of the ones he had faced in his career earlier.
He said he knew the excitement of taking on demanding tasks like this one and also knew that it was a lifetime experience to go through something so extremely rewarding because the TCS platform would be a game changer in the near future.
He said he wanted to move quickly and make TCS a pioneer of change in the industry. He hoped that with the help of the TCS Chairman, Khalid Awan and his other colleagues, he would transform the company into an even more vibrant and dynamic organization.
Mannan brings to his position at TCS a rich background in local and international banking. He was serving as Executive Director at Silkbank responsible for Islamic Banking before joining TCS. Prior to that he was CEO of Dubai Islamic Bank and earlier Deputy CEO of UBL. He has also worked in a senior position at Citibank, New York, with focus on Consumer Banking. He has been a Member of the Revenue Advisory Council of the FBR.
