Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a meeting on Thursday with his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is currently on an official visit to Turkey.
Turkish Presidency said, in a statement, that the two leaders held a joint press conference following their tA�te-A�-tA�te and the third meeting of the Turkey-Kazakhstan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC).
We will intensify our efforts in the period ahead to elevate the Turkey-Kazakhstan relations to a perfect level in every field. Besides the bilateral cooperation between Turkey and Kazakhstan, we have also reiterated our agreement on contributing to the works of Turkic Council, Erdogan said at the press conference.
He said they sincerely discussed all issues on their agenda during Wednesday’s meetings, pointing out that more than 20 documents with a total value of nearly $2 billion were signed between the two countries, as part of the Kazakh-Turkish Investment Forum held in Ankara.
President Nazarbayev, for his part, stated that Turkey is one of the closest and most reliable strategic partners of Kazakhstan. He noted that the signing of the agreements, which have all the potential to boost the Turkish-Kazakh cooperation in every field, are clear indicators of the cooperation between the two countries.
