First Death Anniversary of Late Siraj Teli

Karachi, December 13, 2021 (PPI-OT): Chairman Businessmen Group (BMG) and Former President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry M. Zubair Motiwala, while paying glowing tribute to the Leader of business and industrial community Late Siraj Kassam Teli, pledged to continue the mission of Siraj Teli by striving enthusiastically for the rights of Karachi and its business and industrial community.

Talking to media after Quran Khawani on the occasion of first death anniversary late Siraj Teli, Chairman BMG said, “Siraj Teli always desired to make Karachi a liveable city and we, the BMGIANs, will continue to follow his footprints more passionately for the rights of Karachi city, which despite so many odds and constant negligence by both the federal and provincial governments, continues to contribute 68 percent revenue to the national exchequer and 54 percent to Pakistan’s exports.

Vice Chairmen BMG Haroon Farooki, Anjum Nisar and Jawed Bilwani, General Secretary BMG AQ Khalil, Nusair Siraj Teli, President KCCI Muhammad Idrees, Senior Vice President Abdul Rehman Naqi, Vice President Qazi Zahid Hussain, President FPCCI Nasir Hayat Magoon, Managing Committee Members, prominent businessmen and industrialists along with a large number of BMGIANs attended the Quran Khawani. Zubair Motiwala said that Siraj Teli’s unfortunate demise on December 8 last year was the most tragic and saddening incident not only for Karachi but for entire Pakistan.

“Siraj Teli was a person who is neither born in years nor in centuries. I remained associated with him since last 28 years and throughout this period, I always found Siraj Teli passionate to serve the humanity and he only took those initiatives which were in favour of Pakistan, Karachi and the masses”, he added. Expressing satisfaction over complete unity amongst BMGIANs, Chairman BMG said, “You will not find a single example all over Pakistan where any political party or any other group has remained intact and fully united for a period of 24 years except BMG whose Chairman and all Vice Chairmen have always been on the same page since the Group came to existence in 1998 and no divide or break up was seen at any point in time throughout all these years.”

President KCCI Muhammad Idrees, in his remarks, said Siraj Teli was a person who cannot be forgotten as he struggled really hard throughout his life for the welfare of poor masses and the business community and fearlessly raised voice so that the authorities could be compelled to not only deal with economic issues but also many other social issues being suffered by the public.

“Siraj Teli will stay alive in our hearts and will always be remembered for his exceptional and dedicated services to the entire business and industrial community and Karachiites under the policy of Public Service. He was a dynamic leader whose illustrious career spanning over 28 years has indeed left an indelible impression on the entire business and industrial community”, he added. After Quran Khawani and dua, BMG Leadership, KCCI Office Bearers and a large number of well-wishers left for DHA graveyard to offer fateha at the grave of Late Siraj Teli.
