Karachi, May 13, 2022 (PPI-OT): View from the desk

After a week of range bound sessions, bulls made a comeback today. The index closed at 43,486, gaining 588 points DoD. Traded volumes stood at 208mn shares where TREET (0.9%), CNERGY (1.5%), PRL (2.6%), LOTCHEM (4.3%) and WTL (2.7%) were the volume leaders. We believe, decision regarding petroleum prices, progress on the IMF program and rupee stability will be key triggers for the index going forward.
