The trading session started with lackluster volumes, where thin trading continued in both the trading session of today. Further drop in PKR value against USD, no progress on IMF agreement and no materialization of Saudi assistance are the key reasons that keep sentiments negative from the start of the day. Hence, KSE-100 Index closed at 45,749 levels, down 599 points. Total traded volume stood at 192mn shares with UNITY (2.9%), GGL (2.8%), BYCO (-1.4%), HUMNL (-2.1%) and TELE (-2.4%) being the highest contributors to the volume. Going forward, market will likely set its direction as per developments on economic front.
