Benchmark Index started the new year on a positive note and closed in green zone at 44,887, gaining 291 points DoD. Market volumes remained thin with total traded volume clocking in at 195mn shares where PIBTL (+4.6%), TPLP (-0.3%), GGL (+2.0%), FNEL (+4.3%) and CNERGY (-2.3%) accounted for 28% of the total volume. Going forward, we expect the market to pick up pace and recommend investors to avail any dips to accumulate Technology, Textile and Oil and Gas Exploration stocks.
